Hi everyone :

Classroom management could possibly be the most difficult aspect of teaching. Indeed, as far as I have observed, many teachers are really experiencing problems in this area.

Although there is a plenty of published books related to classroom management - these contain tips and strategies for teachers to be effective in this area; yet, I am quite aware that these books that teaches have been studying/reading about were written by non-Filipino authors. I believe that teachers (I'm referring to the Filipino ones) should consider the cultural set up here in the Philippines for the implementation of classroom management strategies. While it is true that those books read/studied by teachers during their undergraduate years could somehow be applied to our cultural setting here in our country, it is still imperative on the part of the Filipino teachers to be "producers" of knowledge - not just "consumers".

If you have any concerns, suggestions, tips related to classroom management which you would like to share about, please do make some posts so other members of our forum site could have an open discussion regarding this. You are also encouraged to share your experience on matters regarding this issue.
